Director of Hockey Operations & Recruitment (FILLED)
OVERVIEW:
The Director of Hockey Operations & Recruitment will be responsible for all coaching duties, daily preparation and management for practices, games, meetings and workouts, as well as all activities related to driving demand for the programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and drive the strategy for training and game play
- Manage and create all practice and workout plans
- Daily planning, operation and execution for all activities
- Overseeing Social Media and Marketing Activities and Materials
- Engaging in Discussions with Athletes and Parents
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:
- University Degree (Minimum Bachelor’s) in Business, Marketing, Human Kinetics, Kinesiology or a related field.
- Minimum NCAA Division I or Major Junior Hockey Playing Experience
- Minimum 10 years coaching experience
- Previous coaching experience in Asia
- Previous personal sport specific training experience - individual and team training. One of the following certifications are required: NASM, CSCS, EXOS, NSCF or ACE.
Player Development Coordinator

OVERVIEW
The Player Development Coordinator is responsible for leading the design, delivery, and growth of youth hockey programs in Asia, with the goal of raising the standard of local player development to international levels. This includes player development pathways, coach education, grassroots recruitment, competitive team support, and long-term athlete development. The role plays a critical part in ensuring a positive, safe, and progressive hockey experience for players ages U6 to U18. This role will also serve as a bridge between North American hockey systems and the Asian hockey ecosystem, introducing elite training methods, fostering long-term athlete development, and preparing players for higher competition pathways both locally and abroad.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program Development: Design and implement player development programs tailored to different skill levels and age groups.
- Coaching Support: Collaborate with coaches to ensure consistent training methodologies and development strategies.
- Talent Identification: Scout and assess potential athletes for recruitment and development opportunities.
Performance Monitoring: Track player progress through assessments and evaluations, adjusting training plans as needed. - Communication: Serve as a liaison between players, coaches, and management to foster a supportive development environment.
- Skill Training: Conduct individual and group training sessions focused on skill enhancement.
- Workshops and Clinics: Organize and lead workshops to educate players on various aspects of the sport, including techniques, strategy, and mental preparation.
- Feedback and Evaluation: Provide constructive feedback to players and coaches, helping to set goals and benchmarks for improvement.
SKILLS:
- Coaching Expertise: Deep understanding of the sport and effective coaching techniques.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with players, coaches, and parents.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing player performance data and using it to inform development plans.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple programs and schedules.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Significant playing experience at a junior, collegiate, or professional level - US (NCAA) or Canadian (U-Sports) College Hockey.
- Proven track record of coaching in North America (Preferably coaching experience in Asia)
- Coaching certifications from North America from a recognized Ice Hockey Association.
- Experience working abroad
- Familiarity with North American Officials Standards and Development Models.
- Understanding of adapting North American systems to international or non-traditional hockey markets.
- Clean criminal record check and child safety clearance.
